The Faculty of Management (FOM) held its Glow Up Your Finances programme on 22 April 2026, bringing together students and industry partners from Prudential and TNG Digital in a full-day initiative focused on financial literacy and digital finance awareness. The event was officiated by Dr Kwan Jing Hui, Deputy Dean of FOM.
The Prudential segment, led by Ms Fatin Zaida, featured a Youth Financial Education Competition involving 67 students. Through activities such as cash flow simulations and the “Rat Race” game, students were exposed to real-life financial decision-making scenarios covering income management, savings, and investment planning. The session concluded with a prize-giving ceremony recognising outstanding participants. The programme also saw participation from FOM staff – Dr Mohd Fairuz Abd Rahim, Mr Alvis Chan Man Seong, Ms Sharifah Ummu Naqiah Syed Shukran, the ACE team, and Career Express Club students.
In a separate session, TNG Digital conducted a FinTech sharing talk, led by Ms. Nurul Atiah Mohd Zin introducing students to the evolving digital financial landscape. The session also marked the launch of an industry-based assignment for FinTech students, allowing them to apply classroom learning to real industry challenges. TNG Digital is expected to return in Week 14 for student presentations and prize-giving, continuing the engagement. The programme reflects FOM’s ongoing efforts to blend academic learning with industry exposure, giving students early insights into financial practices and emerging trends in the digital economy.
