MMU celebrates its 20 years of excellence.

MMU’s third campus is set up in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.

April 6

Professor Datuk Dr. Ahmad Rafi Mohamed Eshaq is appointed the fourth President of MMU.

2015

Another phase of transformation dubbed as MMU 3.0 is initiated.

The Entrepreneur Development Centre (EDC) was set up under the wong of the Research and Development (R&D) division.

MMU collaborates with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) to reassert the quality of its Bachelor of Accounting programme.

MMU signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CPA Australia, one of the world’s largest accounting bodies.

MMU 2.0 was completed.

MMU is listed in the top 200 universities in the QS World University Rankings by Subject for Computer Science and Information Systems.

Professor Dato’ Dr. Muhamad Rasat Muhamad announces a plan termed MMU 2.0, the first major transformation exercise since MMU’s establishment.

Professor Dato’ Dr. Muhamad Rasat Muhamad assumes office.

MMU’s law programme is recognised by the Legal Qualifying Board Malaysia (LPQB).

Professor Dr. Zaharin Yusoff takes over as the second president of MMU.

Sekolah@MMU, a community service programme aimed at sharing knowledge and skills on multimedia and IT with secondary school students was launched.

eBee is adopted as the official MMU mascot.

The Centre for Affiliate and Diploma Programme (CADP) offers its first diploma programme, a Diploma in Information Technology (DIT) in the Melaka campus.

I-GRAD is introduced as the first prototype mascot of MMU.

The Siti Hasmah Digital Library (SHDL) is launched in honour of MMU’s first chancellor.

April 6

UNITELE’s second campus opens in the heart of the MSC in Cyberjaya. UNITELE was thereafter renamed Multimedia University (MMU).

The Multimedia Learning System (MMLS), an in-house developed web-based courseware delivery engine that utilises multimedia to enhance the teaching and learning process via a ‘virtual teacher within a virtual classroom’ is designed.

TM established the Universiti Telekom (UNITELE) campus in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.

Tan Sri Dr. Ghauth Jasmon was officially announced as the President of UNITELE.

April 6

Telekom Malaysia was given the distinction by the Ministry of Education to set up the first private university in Malaysia.
