Multimedia University | AxF Open Mind to Self Expression among Students

Student Affairs Division (STAD) through its Counselling and Career Development organised ArtXpression Festival (AxF) at MMU Cyberjaya, recently. The annual event served as a platform for everyone to express themselves through their way of styling and to distinguish the idea of judgment and approval towards one’s appearance. The organiser showcased activities to open one’s mind that art and fashion can be a powerful medium to improve one’s self-confidence and self-worth towards a better mental health.

Throughout the festival, AxF brought a lot of events in conjunction with its theme “I Am Me” such as Open Mic Night featuring Naim Daniel, Wall of Expression and “I Am Me” Exhibition featuring thedeoMIXBLOOD, Indonesia street art artist. Furthermore, they also organised a meet & greet session with media social influencers; Haze and Syapa from Motif Viral and a fashion influencer, Erni Bougas founder of Bougas Beauty.

A psycho-fantasy theatre entitled, “Bunker” was successfully presented at the Dewan Tun Canselor. It was held in collaboration between Bleenk Media, Seni Teater Kurshiah (STAKASH) and MMU Theatre Club (TAMU). The theatre also highlighted on mental health issue such as post-trauma, schizophrenic, self-esteem with the unique elements of fantasy and magical world. On top of that, MMU students were also collaborated with Setia Haruman and thedeoMIXBLOOD to enhance Cyberjaya environment.
