A total of 164 students from the Faculty of Management (FOM), Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI), and Faculty of Business (FOB) participated in the Youth Enrichment Seminar (Y.E.S.), a collaborative initiative between Public Mutual Berhad, the Faculty of Management (FOM), and Alumni, Career and Entrepreneurship (ACED) in June 2026. The programme was designed to enhance students’ financial literacy, investment awareness, and career preparedness through direct engagement with industry professionals.

The seminar provided participants with practical exposure to key aspects of personal financial planning, wealth management, and unit trust investment fundamentals. Students gained valuable insights into budgeting, financial discipline, investment strategies, risk diversification, and long-term wealth accumulation. The session also highlighted the importance of making informed financial decisions at an early stage of life to achieve sustainable financial well-being.

Beyond financial knowledge, the seminar introduced students to career opportunities within the asset management industry. Through interactive presentations and real-life industry sharing, participants were exposed to the diverse career pathways available in the financial services sector, enabling them to better understand industry expectations and future employment prospects. The programme served as an important platform to bridge academic learning with real-world industry practices, while encouraging students to develop both financial confidence and career readiness.

The successful organisation of the programme was made possible through the dedication and commitment of the FOM team, comprising Dr Noor Shahaliza Othman, Prof. Dr Malarvizhi, Ms Zarehan Selamat, and Ms Hazleza Mohamad, in collaboration with Alumni, Career and Entrepreneurship (ACED) and Public Mutual Berhad. Their collective efforts provided students with a meaningful learning experience that supports MMU’s aspiration of producing knowledgeable, industry-ready graduates equipped to navigate future financial and professional challenges.
