On 4 September 2019, a total of 147 students and staff from the Faculty of Management (FOM) attended “Digital Entrepreneurship Class” by GenYouth and MDEC. The class was conducted by Mr. Gopalakrishnan Kolandai, MDEC Certified Trainer and facilitated by Mr. Eldrick Koh, CEO and founder of GenYouth Malaysia. The session covered some trending topics such as Intro to Digital Marketing, Facebook Marketing, Whatsapp Marketing, Instagram Marketing, Email Marketing, and Website. The session was organised by Ms. Diyana Mahad and Ms. Nursyamimi Houd.

The interactive session aims to achieve a few objectives such as to leverage new models in business and e-commerce to increase profitability, to inform the social media and digital marketing techniques, to expose the real-world application of digital marketing and e-commerce methods, and to enlighten on the way to market yourself and your products more effectively and efficiently. The participants also were provided with online course notes with hands-on exercise and practice session. They also received an E-certificate from MDEC upon completion of the class. Some lucky participants who completed the online module also received RM50 Shopee voucher. In a nutshell, the participants gained more insights on the digital entrepreneurship and it will help them to embark themselves in the business world.
