A total of 23 children of age 5 to 9 participated in a charity sale organised by the Faculty of Management (FOM) and Junior Einstein Care Center at the Ground Level of the faculty, MMU Cyberjaya recently. It was a fundraising event for an orphanage home, Rumah Victory Children & Youth Home.

This charity sale also was a part if university social responsibility (USR) initiatives in engaging junior community in Cyberjaya. The event helped to instil a spirit of generosity by helping the children understand that their positive personal actions or behaviour can help others. The parents also gave full support in terms of financial and moral. During the event, the children were encouraged to use their creativity to make their sales. Interestingly, some of the children from Junior Einstein Care Center shared stories that they made their own handicrafts that they learnt from 5-minute crafts video from Youtube to be sold for this event.

It was a heart-warming sight to see the incredibly enthusiastic faces and efforts shown by these children when they were interacting and persuading the crowd to buy. This USR initiative is a good and safe platform to practice social entrepreneurial skills at a very young age.
