Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) Electrical new-icon

Faculty of Engineering (FOE)

(R2/522/6/0038) 06/26 (MQA/FA4863)

The programme aims to nurture talents who are highly sought after in the renewable energy and electrical power industries. Designed upon close consultation with industry experts and renowned international professors, the four-year programme equips graduates with competency and a strong foundation in renewable energy, GTD (generation, transmission, and distribution) of electrical power, and machine design. To futureproof our graduates, the students are exposed to Artificial Intelligence (AI), blockchain, cybersecurity, data literacy, energy, fibre optics, 5G and Internet-of-things (IoT) throughout their learning journey in MMU.

Our graduates first undertake fundamental courses such as mathematics, computing, electronics and circuit theory to build a strong foundation before progressing to core energy and electrical courses such as power generation, transmission and distribution, renewable energy, and energy conversion. Before graduation, our students are tasked with capstone and final year projects to enhance their projects management and problem-solving skills. They also undergo an industrial training programme with prospective employers. Our graduates also acquire knowledge in our programme through courses on economics, accounting, management, law and workplace communication to enhance their versatility and ultimately, their employability.
