Inquire, Inspire and Innovate

Assalamualaikum wrb and a Very Good Day,

Here in the Finance Division, our aim is to serve all our valued customers, internal customers as well as external customers, in an efficient, timely and courteous manner. The myriad responsibility the Finance Division plays is not often obvious to our many different customers. While we strive to ensure that the many students, staff and vendors that walk into our Melaka and Cyberjaya offices on a daily basis walk out with a smile, we also endeavor to provide value-added financial information to the management and stake holders of the university. Maintaining financial data integrity for the purpose of statutory requirements may be our default task, but we also believe that customer satisfaction is equally paramount, and is the very reason for our existence. Hence, we view our valued customers as strategic business partners, whose comments and suggestions are not only welcome but valued and serve as the basis for our continued improvement.

One of our major tasks is to ensure that the university is financially stable in order to provide excellent infrastructure and facilities to our students. The units in the university which are providing the many amenities our students require are dependent on us in terms of funding. While money may not be the only factor that determines the quality of facilities and services rendered, we think many will agree with us that it is a major, if not the main factor. It has always been a delicate balancing act in Finance - we have to operate in the most optimal and cost effective manner while maintaining a level of quality. "Prudent Spending" are the key words that govern our day to day decision making, and it has served the university well.

Running a private university in Malaysia is a challenging task. To ensure the financial sustainability of the university, it has to have strong and efficient cashflow management. Over the years of this universitys excellent track record, it has built a strong profitability ratio, balance sheet and cashflow. The steady increase in student intake proves that the university has reached a certain maturity level and attained critical mass which is an important ingredient to secure business sustainability in the future. Above all, we strive to provide our utmost support to our parent company, Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) in its Corporate Social Responsibilities initiatives through MMU.

We hope you will find this homepage useful in your search for relevant information regarding Finance Division activities in the university. If you need more information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Have a nice day and please visit us again.
