Nearly 300 students from Maktab Rendah Sains MARA (MRSM) Gerik, Sekolah Menengah (SM) Tahfiz Darul Ridzuan, Maahad Tahfiz Tawai and Maahad Tahfiz Kemukjizatan Al-Quran took part in the three-day Sekolah@MMU Perdana Darul Ridzuan Programme, which concluded with a closing ceremony at MRSM Gerik on 2 August 2026.

The closing ceremony was graced by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU. Also present were Mr. Syed Mohamad ‘Ammaruddin Sayd Bekari, Penghulu of Mukim Kenering, Hulu Perak, Perak; Ms. Yuhaniz Mohamad Padil, Director of MARA Perak; and Ms. Juliati Abdul Jalil, Principal of MRSM Gerik, Prof. Ir. Dr. Zulfadzli Yusoff, Vice President of Student Experience and Entrepreneurship Development; and other university representatives.

Throughout the programme, participants were introduced to digital technology, information technology (IT), artificial intelligence (AI), and innovation through a series of interactive activities. Guided by 70 MMU student facilitators, they also developed teamwork, communication, creative thinking, and leadership skills.

In his speech, Prof. Mazliham said the programme reflects MMU’s commitment to nurturing a digitally competent generation by providing school students with early exposure to emerging technologies and future-focused skills. He also expressed his appreciation to the student facilitators for their dedication in mentoring the participants and contributing to the success of the programme.

Overall, the programme has successfully provided students with early exposure to digital technologies and innovation, while fostering important skills such as teamwork, creativity, and communication. Well done!
