Sigma Samudera Crowned Champion of the Inaugural MMU Traditional Games Fiesta 2026

On 3 August 2026, the inaugural MMU Traditional Games Fiesta 2026 concluded on a high note with Sigma Samudera emerging as the overall champion, taking home the championship title along with a cash prize of RM5,000 during the closing and prize-giving ceremony at Dewan Tun Canselor. The prize was presented by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President and Chief Executive Officer of MMU.

The ceremony marked the successful conclusion of the two-day competition, which brought together staff members from six Halls to compete in traditional games including Congkak, Batu Seremban, Ceper, Dam Haji, Galah Panjang, and Baling Selipar. The fiesta reinforces the university’s commitment to promoting staff well-being, encouraging work-life balance, and creating opportunities for colleagues to connect beyond the workplace. Coordinated by Human Capital Management, this event served as an avenue for staff engagement, complementing the existing MMU Sports Fiesta in strengthening the sense of belonging and community among MMU employees.
