The Learning Institute for Empowerment (LIfE) organised a cultural immersion programme titled “Experience Foreign Cultures at MMU Land” at the Cyberjaya campus in November 2025. Participants, aged 13 to 15, had the opportunity to explore the richness of Korean and Japanese traditions through interactive and hands-on experiences.

The Korean experience programme, led by Ms. Kim Mihyang, introduced participants to traditional cuisine and games. Students crafted tasty Jumeok-bap (rice balls), enjoyed Boricha (roasted barley tea), and played traditional games such as Ddak-ji-chi-gi, Gong-gi-no-ri, and Je-gi-cha-gi.

Meanwhile, Ms. Fu Yonghong led the Japanese experience programme, guiding participants in making delicious Onigiri and savoring Ochazuke. Students also explored their creativity through Origami Kimono crafting and mini Tatami mat making, gaining hands-on experience of Japanese cultural practices.

The programme offered participants a hands-on experience of Korean and Japanese cultures, leaving them with memorable insights and a greater appreciation of these traditions. Well done!
