
Finance Forward, an enriching student engagement programme, was hosted by the Faculty of Management (FOM) on 1 December 2025 at the FOM Theatre. The event brought together students from various programmes to deepen their understanding of personal and corporate branding, productivity strategies, and the evolving expectations of future finance professionals.
Two distinguished speakers from PwC’s Academy, Ms. Janice Chee, Senior Manager and Young Professionals Lead, and Mr. Kamarulizwan Jallaludin, Manager and CareerEdge Lead, shared their expertise in talent development and professional training.
During the session, students explored personal and corporate branding, gaining insights into how young professionals can build a strong industry presence. The speakers emphasised authenticity, consistency, and clarity of value as key elements in establishing a compelling professional identity.
The discussion on pathways to productivity provided students with practical approaches to optimise their academic and career performance. Strategies related to emotional intelligence, focus, time management, and reflective practice were highlighted, helping students understand the habits that drive long-term success.
The session also introduced the Future Finance Professional Programme, giving students an overview of PwC’s structured upskilling pathway designed to develop future-ready finance professionals equipped with digital, analytical, and ethical competencies.
The programme has successfully equipped students with practical skills and insights, empowering them to navigate their careers confidently as the next generation of finance leaders.
