
The Faculty of Management (FOM) recently welcomed approximately 20 postgraduate students from Institut Bisnis dan Informatika Kesatuan (IBIK) Bogor, Indonesia, as part of the International Student Inbound Mobility Programme in May 2026. The visiting participants comprised students from the Master of Management and Master of Accounting programmes.
The programme commenced with an introduction to MMU and FOM delivered by Dr. Abdul Aziz Ahmad, Assistant Professor from FOM, with the assistance of faculty staff members Ms. Nursyamimi Houd, Mr. Zulkefly and Mr. Mohaizad. The participants were then warmly welcomed with a cultural performance by Ms. Putri Nurul ‘Aainaa, who performed the traditional Malay song Joget Pahang.
The programme continued with a guest lecture delivered by Dr. Abdul Aziz Ahmad, followed by an engaging discussion session on the participants’ postgraduate journey and experiences. Throughout the interactive session and activities, participants identified several common challenges faced during their postgraduate studies, including research gap issues, differences in academic background and time management concerns. The fruitful exchange of ideas encouraged meaningful engagement between the participants and the faculty representatives.
Adding to the cultural exchange experience, one of the representatives from IBIK delivered a special performance of the Indonesian song Maduk Dadali. The programme also featured research sharing sessions led by Dr. Budi Setiawan and Dr. Tubagus Dicky Faldy Syahid Noor, where two research projects were presented and discussed with the participants.
The visit concluded with a campus tour conducted by staff member from the International Collaboration and Engagement (ICE) office, followed by a photo session and gift exchange ceremony with the Dean of FOM, Prof. Dr. Tan Booi Chen, and the Deputy Dean of Postgraduate and Collaboration (PGC), Dr. Kwan Jing Hui.
