MMU Press Benchmarks Publishing Practices at UKM Press

MMU Press carried out a benchmarking visit to UKM Press as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen publication standards and enhance global visibility of its scholarly outputs. The session included knowledge sharing on editorial management, production workflows, indexing strategies, and quality assurance practices. Discussions also covered innovations in digital publishing and approaches to increasing readership and citation impact.

The MMU Press delegation, led by Prof. Dr. Tan Siow Hooi, was received by the Director of UKM Press, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jemaima Che Hamzah, along with representatives from various departments including marketing, journals, books, and design. Both parties expressed commitment to continued collaboration in strengthening Malaysia’s academic publishing ecosystem.
