The School of Computing, Telkom University, Bandung, Indonesia, and the Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST), Multimedia University (MMU), jointly organised the 14th International Conference on Information and Communication Technology (ICoICT) 2026 from 30 July to 1 August 2026 in Bandung, Indonesia.
The conference began with an opening address by Dr. Edward Ferdian of the School of Computing, Telkom University, who served as the General Chair of the conference. This was followed by introductory remarks from Ts. Dr. Sumendra Yogarayan, Deputy Dean of Postgraduate and Collaboration, FIST, in his role as General Co-Chair.
A special address was delivered by Dr. Eng Sunu Wibirama, Vice Chair of the IEEE Indonesia Section, who reaffirmed IEEE’s commitment to supporting international collaboration and advancing research and innovation in information and communication technology.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siti Fatimah Abdul Razak, Dean of FIST, then welcomed participants and highlighted the importance of international collaboration in advancing ICT research, fostering innovation, and strengthening partnerships between academia and industry.
The conference was officially inaugurated by Dr. Angga Rusdinar, Vice Rector for Innovation, Research, and Partnership at Telkom University, in the presence of keynote speakers, industry experts, organising committee members, paper presenters, and participants attending both in person and online.
Held under the theme Empowering Humanity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, ICoICT 2026 received more than 200 paper submissions from researchers in Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, and several other countries, reflecting the growing global interest in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
The conference featured three distinguished keynote speakers who shared insights on the future of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. Participants also attended industry talks, tutorial sessions, poster presentations, and a challenge competition, providing valuable opportunities for researchers and students to present innovative ideas, research findings, and practical solutions to real-world challenges.
The conference concluded with closing remarks by Dr. Kemas Muslim Lhaksmana, Dean of the School of Computing, Telkom University, who expressed his appreciation to the organising committee, keynote and industry speakers, reviewers, presenters, sponsors, and participants for their invaluable contributions to the success of ICoICT 2026.
As a flagship collaborative initiative between MMU and Telkom University, ICoICT continues to strengthen academic excellence, foster international research collaboration, and provide a distinguished platform for knowledge sharing and innovation in information and communication technology.
