An industrial talk entitled “Unlock Your Financial Growth with RHB Investment Bank Berhad – Seamless Integration, Market Opportunities, and IPO Benefits” was held on 15 June 2026 at the Melaka campus, featuring representatives from RHB Investment Bank Berhad who provided students with valuable exposure to the financial services industry and career development opportunities.
Jointly organised by the Faculty of Business (FOB) in collaboration with Alumni Engagement, Career and Entrepreneurship Development (ACED), the session commenced with welcoming remarks by Mr. Tan Gek Siang, Deputy Dean of FOB. He welcomed the delegates from RHB Investment Bank Berhad and encouraged students to seize the opportunity to engage with industry practitioners and alumni to gain insights into career pathways and workplace expectations.
En. Zulfa Idris, Melaka Branch Manager of RHB Investment Bank Berhad, shared insightful perspectives on the investment banking industry, current market trends, and the diverse career opportunities available in the financial sector. Adding a special touch to the event was an inspiring sharing session by Mr. Surajkartik Girish Patel, Executive Dealer Representative at RHB Investment Bank Berhad and an alumnus of FOB’s Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) in International Business programme, Class of 2024.
During the session, he shared his career journey, workplace experiences, and valuable advice on the essential skills and competencies required for success as a fresh graduate. His success story served as a source of motivation and inspiration for current students aspiring to pursue careers in the corporate world.
The programme attracted approximately 100 students from various faculties reflecting strong interest among students from diverse disciplines in exploring career opportunities within the financial services industry. Such initiatives continue to bridge the gap between academia and industry while empowering students with practical insights, professional networks, and career-readiness skills essential for future success.
