The Faculty of Management (FOM) continued its Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP) with Supersafe Industries through a hands-on training session titled “Unlocking the Power of ChatGPT for Excel-Based Financial Analysis” in June 2026.

The session formed part of the broader KTP initiative on AI-Powered Digital Marketing and underscored the university’s commitment to equipping industry partners with practical digital competencies to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven business environment.

Led by Dr. Goh Han Hwa with assistance from Dr. Jack Ng Kok Wah, the training focused on the practical use of ChatGPT to enhance Excel-based financial analysis and workplace productivity. Participants explored how AI could support tasks such as formula generation, financial data interpretation, report automation, budget analysis, forecasting, and data visualisation. Through interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities, they gained first-hand experience in leveraging AI tools to simplify complex processes, improve efficiency, and support more informed decision-making.

The programme reflects the growing role of universities in supporting SME digital transformation by translating academic expertise into real-world applications that benefit industry. By empowering employees with AI-driven skills and exposing them to emerging workplace technologies, the initiative contributes to building a future-ready workforce while strengthening collaboration between academia and industry.
