Expanding Industry Knowledge Through Career Engagement Programme

On 11 May 2026, students from the Faculty of Information Science & Technology (FIST) and the Faculty of Business (FOB) participated in the EY Campus Tour – Southern Region held at MMU Melaka. The session provided students with valuable exposure to career opportunities, professional networking, and insights into current industry trends and expectations.

During the session, representatives from EY Malaysia shared insights on the evolving professional landscape, highlighting the importance of adaptability, communication skills, digital competencies, and continuous learning in today’s competitive working environment. Students were also introduced to various career pathways, internship opportunities, and the recruitment process within the industry.

The interactive engagement allowed students to gain a clearer understanding of workplace expectations and professional development while encouraging them to prepare themselves for future career opportunities with greater confidence. Through discussions and sharing sessions with industry professionals, participants were able to broaden their perspectives on career readiness and the skills needed to succeed in the corporate world.

Programmes such as this continue to strengthen industry-academia engagement while providing students with meaningful real-world exposure beyond the classroom environment.
