We are proud to share the remarkable achievement of Andrew Tang Jia Hong from the Faculty of Business (FOB), who represented Malaysia at the ASEAN Invitational ITF Singapore Taekwon-Do Championship 2025 (II) on 9 November 2025 at Keat Hong Community Club, Singapore.

Competing against top participants from across the region including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, and Chinese Taipei , Andrew Tang brought home three medals across several prestigious black belt categories:

  • Gold Medal – Male Black Belt Sparring (16 years & above, 66.1kg & above)
  • Silver Medal – Male Black Belt Pattern (16–21 years, 2nd Dan)
  • Silver Medal – Male Black Belt Sparring – Clash of Lions (Open Special Event, no age/weight limit)

The Clash of Lions category is a highly intense open sparring event that challenges participants beyond age and weight divisions, making this achievement particularly commendable. Andrew Tang’s dedication, discipline, and sportsmanship exemplify the spirit of excellence we uphold at MMU. The university extends its heartfelt congratulation to him for this outstanding performance and is incredibly proud to see our students shine on international platforms.

Congratulations once again, Andrew Tang! Thank you for flying the Malaysian flag high and inspiring your peers at MMU.
