A series of Generative AI (GenAI) workshops for educators across Sepang was held in July 2025, made possible through the collaboration between the Faculty of Management (FOM) and Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah (PPD) Sepang. Organised under the Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP) and University Social Responsibility (USR) initiative, the programme aimed to show how GenAI can transform teaching and learning at every level, from preschool to secondary school.

The workshops were conducted by a dedicated team of FOM academic staff comprising Ms. Norzarina Md Yatim, Dr. Abd Aziz Ahmad, Dr. Abby Ashraff, Ms. Nur Syamimi Houd, Ms. Noor Shahaliza, and Ms. Nor Hazleza. The first session, GenAI for Educators: Empowering Sepang Primary Teachers, saw 30 primary educators exploring ethical and effective ways to integrate AI into their classrooms. This was followed by AI Inspire: Generative AI Workshop for Sepang Secondary Educators, where another 30 secondary educators took part in hands-on activities to enhance both teaching and administrative workflows. The final session, Teaching with GenAI: Sepang Pre-School Educator Innovation Series, engaged 35 preschool educators in discovering creative approaches to using AI in early childhood education.

The workshops provided a supportive environment for educators to explore advanced AI tools together. Participants shared positive feedback, noting the practical insights and ethical guidance they gained on AI usage. From lesson planning to improving administrative efficiency, the sessions inspired and equipped them to embrace AI in their professional roles.

Following the success of the programme, FOM and PPD Sepang are now preparing for the next phase of AI training, with the aim of further strengthening educators’ skills and encouraging innovative teaching practices.

Well done!
