Multimedia University (MMU) once again embraced the spirit of unity and inclusivity as it hosted the annual Grand Iftar across its Cyberjaya and Melaka campuses on 26th and 27th March 2024, respectively. The event, graced by the presence of Professor Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, signifies the university’s commitment to fostering a sense of vibrant community.

During the ceremony, attendees had the privilege of hearing from Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud as he delivered a speech, emphasising the importance of solidarity and mutual respect in today’s multicultural society. His words resonated deeply with the audience, reaffirming MMU’s dedication to creating an environment where individuals from all walks of life feel welcomed and valued.

Furthermore, the event was not only a time for breaking fast but also an opportunity to give back to the community. Yayasan Universiti Multimedia (YUM) made a significant zakat contribution to the asnaf, underscoring MMU’s commitment to supporting those in need and fostering a culture of compassion and generosity.

Guest speakers, including Prof. Madya Dr. Mohd Sukki Othman and Ustaz Mohd Najib Khasim, delivered thought-provoking tazkirah (religious talks), providing spiritual guidance and insight into the significance of Ramadan. Their presence added depth and meaning to the event, enriching the experience for all who attended.

Among the guests were Prof. Ir. Dr. Hairul Azhar Abdul Rashid, Vice President of Market Exploration, Engagement and Touchpoint (MEET), Prof. Dr. Wong Eng Kiong, Vice President of Student Experience and Entrepreneurship Development (SEED), Prof. Dr. Hishamuddin Ismail, Chairman of BAKIT-MMU, Dr. Afandi Yusof, President of MESRA and En Izad Ismail, Director of YUM, representatives from Surau Al-Hidayah & Masjid Al-Irsyad alongside MMU staff members.
