MMU Professor Receives International Recognition from IEEE

We are proud to announce that Prof. Dr. Mohamad Yusoff Alias, our academic staff from the Faculty of Engineering (FOE) was awarded with 2020 IEEE Outstanding Branch Counselor and Branch Chapter Advisor Award on 16^th October 2020. Prof. Yusoff is one of the fourteen winners from around the world, and is the only winner from Malaysia. The award was given by the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Headquarters in the US.

The award recognises the unusual and dedicated efforts of Student Branch Counselors and Branch Chapter Advisors, where the winners exemplify the Institute’s commitment to the educational, personal, professional, and technical development of students in IEEE related fields of interest. Prof. Yusoff received a one-year complimentary IEEE membership and a digital certificate. In addition, MMU IEEE Student Branch that submitted the nomination to the IEEE also obtained their reward of US$150 cash award.
