

On 24 August 2026, a delegation representing East Malaysia and North-Eastern China visited MMU’s Cyberjaya campus for a discussion on potential opportunities in academic exchange and collaboration. The delegation, led by Mr. Yan Yunqiang, Senior Advisor, Liaoning Province, was warmly welcomed by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, who shared the University’s development and its continued efforts to strengthen academic, industry and international linkages.
The discussion covered potential areas of mutual interest, including academic and research collaboration, innovation and technology, talent development, knowledge exchange and industry engagement. The engagement also provided an opportunity to exchange views on initiatives that could create greater opportunities for academic mobility, joint activities and knowledge sharing.
Coordinated by the Government Liaison and Industry Engagement (GLIE), the visit was also attended by Prof. Ir. Dr. Wong Hin Yong, Vice President of Academic and Innovative Learning; faculty deans and other MMU representatives. The engagement reflects MMU’s continued efforts to broaden its global academic and industry network while advancing its vision of developing future-ready talent through innovation, technology and meaningful knowledge exchange. It also opens up opportunities for MMU to strengthen connections with partners in East Malaysia and North-Eastern China through future academic and industry initiatives.
