MMU Teams Shine at Pertandingan Inovasi Terbuka Piala YDP MPSepang 2026

MMU achieved a notable feat at the Pertandingan Inovasi Terbuka Piala Yang Dipertua Majlis Perbandaran Sepang (MPSepang) 2026, held on 26 August 2026 at Semarak Hall @ Cyberjaya, in conjunction with Hari Kualiti dan Inovasi MPSepang 2026.

Organised by Majlis Perbandaran Sepang (MPSepang), the competition provided a platform for government agencies, private organisations, higher education institutions, local authorities and schools to showcase creative and innovative solutions. The event was officiated by YBrs. Puan Nor Suhaila binti Saat, Penolong Setiausaha Majlis Perbandaran Sepang.

A total of 67 participants competed in two categories, namely the Pertandingan Inovasi Terbuka Piala Yang Dipertua MPSepang 2026 and the Pertandingan Reka Cipta Barangan Kitar Semula MPSepang 2026.

MMU was represented by four finalist teams, namely Handora, CHERISH, NutriGrow and Jayden’s Story Deck AI, comprising students from the Faculty of Business, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Management and Faculty of Creative Multimedia.

The teams showcased a diverse range of innovative ideas, reflecting MMU’s multidisciplinary approach to developing solutions that address real-world needs. The competition was evaluated by two panel judges, Puan Wan Suraya binti Sahabaludin and Encik Eddly Suzali bin Ayub.

A major highlight for MMU was the success of Jayden’s Story Deck AI, which received the Judge’s Choice Award and secured 1st Runner-Up in the Pertandingan Inovasi Terbuka Piala Yang Dipertua MPSepang 2026.

The achievement was further strengthened by the support of MMU’s Knowledge Transfer & Technology Department, which continues to encourage innovation, facilitate technology development and provide opportunities for MMU innovators to participate in external innovation platforms.

The success reflects MMU’s continued commitment to nurturing a culture of innovation and transforming creative ideas into impactful solutions through the integration of technology, creativity and real-world applications.
