FOM Accounting Students Gain Exposure to Professional Accounting Practice with Grant Thornton

On 16 June 2026, accounting students from the Faculty of Management (FOM) participated in an industry engagement session with Grant Thornton, Kuala Lumpur. Coordinated by Ms. Norzarina Md Yatim, the session provided students with valuable exposure to professional accounting and advisory environment, offering insights into how a global firm operates and the expectations of the industry.

Through interactive sharing by Grant Thornton representatives, students gained first-hand understanding of career pathways, workplace expectations, and the application of accounting knowledge in professional settings. The discussion also emphasised the skills and competencies required to succeed in audit, advisory, and related business fields, helping students better prepare for their future careers. The engagement served to strengthen students’ understanding of the accounting profession and encouraged them to explore future opportunities in the industry.
