The Faculty of Business (FOB) organised Alumni Talk 2026, featuring distinguished alumna Ms. Dehviaalini Siva Kumar @ Diya. Titled Beyond KPIs: People, Performance & Purpose”, the session provided students with valuable insights into navigating today’s evolving workplace while emphasising the importance of balancing organisational goals with people-centred leadership in June 2026.

An MMU graduate who holds both a Bachelor of Business Administration (Human Resource Management) and a Master of Business Administration (Management), Ms. Dehviaalini is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (Human Resource Management) at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). With more than a decade of experience in human resource strategy across multinational corporations, SMEs, and high-growth startups, she now serves as the Founder and Principal Learning Consultant of KindFluence, as well as the President of the Next Lead Association Malaysia.

Drawing from her extensive professional experience, Ms. Dehviaalini shared practical perspectives on performance management and highlighted that success in the workplace extends beyond achieving key performance indicators. Through relatable examples and candid reflections, she encouraged students to appreciate the value of empathy, adaptability, effective communication, and purpose-driven leadership in fostering both individual and organisational success.

She also offered valuable advice on managing workplace expectations, embracing leadership responsibilities, and identifying opportunities for continuous learning and career growth in an increasingly dynamic employment landscape. The session was further enriched through engaging interactive activities that encouraged active student participation and reflection on real-life workplace scenarios. More than a knowledge-sharing platform, Alumni Talk 2026 successfully bridged the gap between classroom learning and industry practice, equipping students with meaningful insights into human resource management and career development.
