In an effort to strengthen students’ career readiness and equip them with practical job application skills, a career development session entitled “Resume Mastery Tips with BIMB” was held at the Cyberjaya campus on 22 June 2026. The session provided students with valuable insights into employer expectations and the importance of presenting themselves effectively in today’s competitive job market.

The session featured Mr. Muhammad Za’im Bin Mohamad Yusoff, Employer Branding & HR Sustainability Lead (Senior Manager), Group Human Resource, Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, who shared practical guidance on crafting impactful resumes and building a strong personal brand. Drawing from his professional experience in talent acquisition and employer branding, he highlighted key elements of an effective resume, strategies for showcasing relevant skills and experiences, and common pitfalls that candidates should avoid during the job application process. Students also gained useful tips on enhancing their employability, creating a positive professional image, and differentiating themselves in an increasingly competitive employment landscape.

Jointly organised by Ms. Fatin Zaida Zaidi (FOM) and Mr. Amir Ikhwan under the Bank Islam Youth Ambassador (BIYA) programme, with the support of the ACE team and Dr. Mazni Alias, the session encouraged students to reflect on how they present their capabilities and career aspirations to prospective employers. Beyond resume writing, the engagement served as a meaningful platform to bridge academic learning with industry expectations, empowering students to approach future career opportunities with greater confidence, professionalism, and purpose.
