On 18 June 2026, the Faculty of Management (FOM) hosted an industry guest lecture titled “Beyond Advertising: Building Brands Across Every Touchpoint”, featuring Ms. Marlina Mansor, Head of Creative Solutions at Astro, as the distinguished speaker. Organised for students of the Bachelor of Marketing programme, the session aimed to expose students to contemporary brand-building strategies and integrated marketing communications. The event was officiated by FOM Dean, Professor Dr. Tan Booi Chen, who reaffirmed the faculty’s commitment to bridging academic learning with real-world industry expertise and preparing students to navigate an evolving business landscape.
Drawing from her extensive experience in developing creative and impactful brand solutions, Ms. Marlina highlighted the importance of creating meaningful customer experiences beyond traditional advertising. She shared how successful brands engage audiences across multiple touchpoints, including television, digital media, radio, social media, and on-ground activations.
Through discussions on integrated brand communication, consumer engagement, storytelling, and the changing media landscape, students gained valuable insights into the strategies and skills required to build strong and relevant brands in today’s dynamic marketplace. The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, where students actively sought advice on brand strategy, content creation, media innovation, and career opportunities within the marketing and communications industries.
The programme was organised by Dr. Nurazlin Mohd Fauzi with the support of Dr. Jack Ng, Madam Fatin Zaida Zaidi, and Madam Nurul Atiah Mohd Zin. Also present were Mr. Joy Hj.
