
Strengthening ties between academia and industry, MMU President, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, engaged in a meaningful discussion with Tan Sri Dr. Lim Wee Chai, Chairman of Top Glove Corporation Bhd, on 9 June 2026 in Setia Alam, Selangor.
The engagement provided an opportunity for both leaders to exchange views on the role of education in nurturing future-ready talents, developing digital leaders, and fostering strong character among the younger generation. It also touched on the importance of values-driven leadership and lifelong learning in navigating an increasingly complex and technology-driven world.
Tan Sri Dr. Lim also shared valuable insights and personal reflections on living a meaningful and purposeful life, drawing from his experiences as a successful entrepreneur and industry leader. His perspectives offered inspiration on the importance of humility, resilience, continuous learning, and contributing positively to society.
The gathering also served as a platform to explore potential areas of collaboration between academia and industry, particularly in talent development, innovation, entrepreneurship, and future workforce readiness.
Adding a recreational touch to the evening, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham and MMU Vice President of Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Ecosystem Development and Sustainability (SEED), Prof. Dr. Zulfadzli Yusoff, took the opportunity to enjoy a friendly game of pickleball following the dinner.
