Career Connect, in collaboration with the Department of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Business (FOB) organised a sharing session at the I-Trade Lab, Faculty of Business, recently. The session, titled “Understanding Your Work Style and Positioning Yourself for Career Success”, featured Ms. Zielda Zainuddin, Founder of ZZ People & Culture Solutions and an MMU alumna with more than 20 years of experience in human resources across industries including oil and gas, technology, and manufacturing.

The session focused on helping students understand different work styles and what to expect in the workplace, while also guiding them on how to prepare for their career journey. Drawing from her experience in organisations such as PETRONAS, Hyundai Motors Malaysia, Prudential BSN Takaful, and UMW Toyota Motor, Ms. Zielda shared practical perspectives on communication, leadership, workplace culture, and career development, giving students a clearer sense of how to navigate their transition into industry.

The session was attended by distinguished guests and faculty members, including Dr. Hasmida Jamaluddin, Deputy Dean of Academic and Innovative Learning; Mr. Tan Gek Siang, Deputy Dean of Student Experience and Alumni; Dr. Afandi Yusof, Director of Touchpoint Management Office (TMO); Dr. Khair Razlan, Head of Centre of Alumni; Dr. Kavitha Raman, Programme Coordinator of BBA (Hons) Human Resource Management; Ms. Vinothini, Deputy Programme Coordinator; and Dr. Cheah Chew Sze. It is hoped that the session provides students useful exposure to real workplace expectations and simple, practical guidance to help them feel more prepared for their future careers.
