A group of students from the Faculty of Business (FOB) brought learning beyond the classroom through a “Mini Recycling Workshop” in May 2026. Led by Ms. Farah Alisyah Binti Mohd Mustaza under the guidance of advisor Ms. Nur Faezah Binti Jayiddin, the programme was conducted at Little Caliphs Tadika Al Fateh Genius, engaging around kindergarten children aged 5 to 6 years old.

The workshop was designed to introduce the idea of recycling in a way that young children could easily understand and enjoy. Instead of traditional teaching, the session was built around hands-on and playful activities to help them learn through experience.

The children took part in storytelling, a recycling awareness sharing session, a sorting game, and a simple craft activity using recycled materials. One of the highlights was the sorting game, where they learned how to identify and separate items like paper, plastic, glass, and aluminium into the correct recycling bins.

They also got creative during a DIY session, where they turned used materials into mini dustbins. To make the experience even more memorable, each child received a “Mini Recycling Heroes” sticker as a small encouragement for their participation.

The session ended with a short quiz that helped the children revisit what they had learned in a simple and enjoyable way. All in all, the programme reflected the students’ effort to connect learning with real community impact, while also nurturing awareness about environmental responsibility from a young age.

Well done!
