A delegation from MMU recently visited Telkom University, Indonesia, as part of the international matching grant collaboration between the two institutions. Held in May 2026, the visit aimed to strengthen academic networking, research collaboration, and knowledge exchange between Malaysia and Indonesia.

The programme began with welcoming remarks from representatives of both universities, followed by presentations on the RI CCSL research profile and ongoing research activities. One of the key highlights was the sharing of progress updates on the MMU–Telkom University collaborative research project for the 2025 research cycle. Discussions focused on current achievements, future research directions, and opportunities to expand collaboration in areas related to digital innovation, education, and technology development.

The MMU delegation comprised Ms. Shadia Suhaimi, Ms. Nur Baiti Shafee, Ms. Siti Nurul Huda Mohd, and Ms. Haniza Hashim, while the collaboration also involves Mr. Shukor Masuod. The participation of researchers from diverse backgrounds fostered meaningful discussions and strengthened academic ties between the two institutions. The delegation also expressed its appreciation to Dr. Bayu Rima Aditya and his team for their warm hospitality throughout the visit.

As part of the programme, the delegation visited the Metaverse Laboratory, where they were introduced to innovative metaverse technologies and digital applications through product demonstrations and research-sharing sessions. The visit also incorporated University Social Responsibility (USR) elements through knowledge-sharing and cultural engagement activities at MQ Equestrian DT. These engagements provided valuable opportunities to explore potential interdisciplinary research initiatives while fostering closer institutional relationships. It is hoped that this partnership will continue to grow through impactful research, innovation, knowledge exchange, and future academic collaborations.
