In May 2026, two Faculty of Applied Communication (FAC) students made the university proud with outstanding performances at national-level competitions, reflecting both sporting strength and communication excellence.

Annur Arifah Alwi, representing Terengganu, captured the gold medal at the National Junior Judo Championship 2026 held at MMU Dewan Tun Canselor. The achievement marks a significant improvement from her silver medal finish in the same championship last year, underscoring her consistency and determination in the sport.

In a separate achievement, Vishan A/L Logeswaran emerged champion at the Malaysian National Public Speaking Championship, organised by the Malaysian Institute for Development of Professionals (MIDP) Youth Institute. Speaking on the theme “A Chip of Humanity,” he delivered a strong and confident performance that secured him first place.

These accomplishments reflect the breadth of talent within FAC, with students excelling not only in communication-related fields but also in national-level sporting arenas. Congratulations!
