A Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP) was conducted by the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Engineering (FAIE), bringing Internet of Things (IoT) and Smart Farming concepts to 21 children aged 6 to 16 years old at Rumah Bakti Nur Ain, Bangi on 9 May 2026.

Through simple explanations, demonstrations and hands-on activities, the children were introduced to how sensors and automated systems can be used in agriculture to monitor plants, improve efficiency and support more sustainable farming practices. The session also allowed them to experience how technology can be applied beyond the classroom in everyday life.

The programme included interactive smart farming activities designed to spark curiosity and encourage participation. The children explored basic technological ideas in a fun and practical setting, while also developing teamwork and creativity throughout the activities. The initiative reflects FAIE’s ongoing commitment to making technology more accessible to the community while providing early exposure to STEM fields in an engaging and meaningful way.
