Connecting Classroom Leadership Learning with Industry Practice

An Industry Learning Partner (ILP) session was conducted in April 2026 at the Cyberjaya campus, featuring Ts. Dr. Ahmad Safuan bin Bujang, Director of the Engineering Research Centre, MARDI, as the speaker. The session was part of efforts to connect leadership concepts with real industry practice.

Students from the Leadership and Communication class attended the session, where Dr. Ahmad Safuan shared insights from over 20 years of experience in digital agriculture and innovation within Malaysia’s agro-food sector. He highlighted how leadership is shaped in real working environments, particularly in areas involving innovation, decision-making, and managing change within technology-driven industries. The session helped link classroom learning with practical industry situations.

Organised by Subject Coordinator Dr. Mohd Fairuz bin Abd Rahim, the session was also attended by Associate Professor Dr. Ong Jeen Wei, Director of ACED, MMU, and Dr. Abby Ashraff Saprudin, Deputy Dean (Student Experience and Alumni), FOM.
