FIST Hosts Delegation from Indonesian Universities for Academic Engagement

A delegation from LLDIKTI Wilayah VI and private universities in Central Java, Indonesia, was warmly welcomed by the Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST), Multimedia University (MMU), at the Melaka campus in April 2026. The visit brought together senior representatives from 13 institutions, reflecting a shared interest in strengthening academic collaboration between Malaysia and Indonesia.

The session focused on exploring potential partnerships in areas such as digital technology, research collaboration, and academic exchange. It began with a welcome address by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Siti Fatimah Abdul Razak, Dean of FIST, followed by introductions and an open discussion between MMU representatives and the Indonesian delegation on possible areas of cooperation.

The engagement also provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on strengthening academic networks and future collaboration in higher education. The visit marks a positive step towards building sustainable institutional linkages in education, research, and innovation between MMU and universities in Central Java.
