MMU continued its push towards AI-driven education with an online webinar titled “From Theory to Autonomy: Architecting Multi-Agent Systems” held on 27 April 2026. Organised by Dr. Sunita Lylia Hamdan and assisted by Dr. Jack Ng Kok Wah from the Faculty of Management, the session gathered postgraduate students, researchers, and lecturers to explore the growing impact of artificial intelligence in academic and professional contexts.

The webinar focused on making AI concepts more accessible and practical for participants, with emphasis on how emerging technologies can support research efficiency, improve academic workflows, and enhance decision-making processes. Participants were exposed to real applications of AI in areas such as qualitative data summarisation, survey design support, early-stage data analysis, and generating insights for research and policy discussions.

The session featured two speakers from academia and industry. Mr. Ramkumar M, Founder of Tensorlearners, India, shared industry perspectives on the development and application of AI systems, while Dr. Nataraj B, MDP Chairperson and Assistant Professor at Thiagarajar School of Management, India, provided academic insights on integrating AI into research and teaching practices.

The webinar helped build AI literacy within the academic community and supported the development of future-ready skills aligned with evolving digital and research demands.
