A total of 50 engineering students from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) took part in an industrial talk titled “Kick Start Your Journey with Gamuda Scholarship” on 23 April 2026. The session was organised by the FET Industrial Linkage Committee as part of its continuous efforts to expose students to industry pathways and opportunities.

The talk was delivered by Mr. Joseph Majanil, Executive at Yayasan Gamuda, who provided students with an overview of the Gamuda Scholarship programme. He also shared valuable insights into current industry expectations and highlighted the importance of early preparation for students aspiring to join leading industry organisations.

During the session, Mr. Joseph explained that the Gamuda Scholarship is offered annually to outstanding students, supporting them in pursuing their studies at selected universities in Malaysia and abroad. He added that beyond financial assistance, the programme is designed to nurture well-rounded individuals through structured development and meaningful industry exposure.

Students were encouraged to take initiative in exploring such opportunities and to actively prepare themselves to become competitive candidates for future scholarships and industry roles.
