Deepavali Celebration Lights Up Melaka Campus

The MMU Melaka Campus came alive with color, music, and joy as staff and students gathered to celebrate Deepavali on 18 November 2025. The event was a wonderful showcase of talent, tradition, and togetherness, reflecting the university’s diverse and inclusive community.

Jointly organised by the Human Capital Management and the Student Lifestyle and Experience (STyLE), the event was attended by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, Prof. Dr. Hishamuddin Ismail, Director of Melaka campus, Puan Hayati Othman, Senior Director of Human Capital Management (HCM).

Guests were treated to lively dance performances by students and staff, while enjoying a Hi-Tea session with festive treats. The celebration also featured a Best Dress competition, with prizes presented by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham and Puan Hayati, adding an extra touch of fun to the event.

The Deepavali celebration at MMU Melaka Campus was more than just a festival, it was a chance for the university community to come together, enjoy the festive spirit, and strengthen the bonds that make MMU a truly inclusive family.
