Around 30 micro-entrepreneurs in Kampung Labuh, Banting, Selangor, participated in a Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP) on 21 October 2026. The session focused on financial budgeting and resource management through Resilivent, an entrepreneurship board game developed by project leader Dr Noor Ashikin Mohd Rom.

Participants from various micro-business backgrounds shared their experiences and challenges in running their businesses, particularly in managing finances and planning their budgets. The discussions also covered ethical business practices, including meeting financial obligations to lenders and using business funds responsibly.

Through Resilivent, participants explored different business situations, made financial decisions and considered how unexpected challenges could affect their businesses. The game provided a practical way for them to discuss their choices and understand the importance of managing resources carefully.

Dr Noor Ashikin developed the game based on her expertise in finance and entrepreneurship to support hands-on learning. The session was facilitated by Madam Rapiah Mohd Zaini, Madam Zarehan Selamat, Madam Azleen Shabrina Mohd Nor and Dr Hasliza Hassan, whose expertise in accounting, finance and management supported the discussions and gameplay.

The programme reflects FOM’s efforts to share its expertise with local communities through practical learning activities. By using Resilivent to explore everyday business challenges, the team brought financial management concepts closer to the experiences of micro-entrepreneurs.
