Andrew Tang Wins Two Gold Medals at Melaka Open Taekwon-Do Championship 2026

We are pleased to share that Andrew Tang, our student from Faculty of Business (FOB) won two Gold medals at the Melaka Open Taekwon-Do Championship 2026, at SJKC Chung Kuo, Melaka in September 2026.

Organised by Persatuan Taekwon-Do Melaka ITF-MTF, the championship saw Andrew emerge as champion in the Individual Male 19 Years and Above, Black Belt Pattern 2nd Dan category, as well as the Individual Male 19 Years and Above, Black Belt Sparring 1st–6th Dan, 60.1–75 kg category.

In addition to competing, Andrew also served as an umpire and took part in the opening ceremony demonstration, reflecting his active involvement in the Taekwon-Do community. The latest achievement adds to Andrew’s sporting accomplishments in 2026, while balancing his involvement in competitive Taekwon-Do with his studies at MMU.
