Four students from the Faculty of Business (FOB) participated in the International Experience Course 2026 hosted by Silpakorn University, Thailand in June 2026. The programme brought together students from Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, China, Vietnam, and Thailand, providing an excellent platform for cultural exchange, international friendship, and experiential learning.

The program began with two online sessions, where participants attended a Basic Thai Language class and an Intercultural Country Showcase. This allows students to learn about different cultures while introducing their own countries and traditions.

Upon arriving in Thailand, students took part in a series of engaging academic and cultural activities. They attended an Intercultural Seminar and a Photo Storytelling workshop, where they learned photography techniques and how to communicate meaningful stories through a sequence of photographs. Participants also explored local attractions including Phra Pathom Chedi and Ong Phra Market.

The cultural immersion continued with a visit to Suan Sampran, where students experienced traditional Thai handicrafts such as flower stamping on fabric bags, making herbal inhalers, and crafting clay figurines. They also visited Don Wai Floating Market, enjoyed a boat ride along the river, and explored Wat Rai Khing, gaining a deeper appreciation of Thailand’s rich cultural heritage and local way of life.

The programme concluded with a visit to the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC), followed by a Photo Storytelling Presentation, where participants creatively shared the highlights of their journey through a series of photographs while reflecting on the experiences and lessons they had gained throughout the program.

The International Experience Course provided students with valuable opportunities to strengthen their intercultural communication, creativity, teamwork, and presentation skills while fostering meaningful friendships with peers from different countries. The experience reflects MMU’s commitment to producing globally competent graduates equipped with international perspectives and cross-cultural understanding.
