MMU Hosts French Ambassador to Strengthen Malaysia-France Higher Education Collaboration

On 17 July 2026, MMU welcomed His Excellency Mr. Marc Abensour, Ambassador of France to Malaysia, to the Cyberjaya campus for a visit aimed at strengthening higher education collaboration between Malaysia and France. The Ambassador was received by MMU President, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, together with the University’s management team. During the visit, the President shared an overview of MMU, highlighting its academic strengths, research capabilities, and ongoing efforts to expand international collaborations.

His Excellency Mr. Marc Abensour subsequently delivered a speech on the importance of higher education in strengthening bilateral relations between Malaysia and France. This was followed by a discussion between both parties on potential areas of collaboration, including student and academic mobility, joint research, innovation, and other initiatives that could further strengthen cooperation between higher education institutions in both countries.

The visit, coordinated by the International Collaboration and Engagement (ICE), provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange perspectives on the evolving higher education landscape and identify potential initiatives that could further strengthen academic cooperation between Malaysia and France.
