Students from the Faculty of Business (FOB), through the Together We Care group, organised a Personal Social Responsibility (PSR) community service project entitled “Kids Little Hand, Big Smile” at SK Alai, Melaka, in June 2026. The initiative was carried out to support students under the school’s Special Education Integration Programme (PPKI) while contributing to a more conducive and engaging learning environment.
As part of the programme, the student volunteers painted murals around the school, conducted interactive games and activities with the PPKI students, and donated educational materials to support the school’s teaching and learning needs. The activities also provided the volunteers with the opportunity to interact closely with the students and gain valuable experience in community service.
The programme was conducted with the support of the school’s teachers and staff, who worked closely with the volunteers to ensure the activities were carried out smoothly. Throughout the programme, the PPKI students actively participated in the activities, creating an enjoyable and inclusive learning experience for everyone involved.
The initiative reflects the importance of university-community engagement in supporting inclusive education while encouraging students to contribute meaningfully to the community through volunteerism and social responsibility.
