The Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) recently welcomed a delegation of 20 representatives from the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India.
The visit was facilitated by FET’s strategic industry partner, Infineon Technologies, which served as the bridge connecting NIELIT and MMU. The programme commenced with mutual introductions, where both MMU and NIELIT shared insights into their respective institutions, academic initiatives, and areas of expertise. This was followed by a fruitful and engaging discussion session that explored potential opportunities for collaboration in education, research, and talent development.
A highlight of the visit was the exchange of tokens of appreciation between MMU Campus Director, Prof. Dr. Hishamuddin Bin Ismail, and NIELIT Executive Director, Dr. Jayaraj U. Kidav, symbolising the spirit of friendship and future cooperation between the two institutions. The delegation was subsequently taken on a tour of FET’s laboratories and the Infineon Corner, where they were introduced to the faculty’s teaching, research, and industry engagement initiatives.
The visit marked an important step towards strengthening international academic and industry linkages, while fostering greater collaboration between MMU, NIELIT, and Infineon in advancing technology education and innovation.
