SRC CIC 2025/2026 Marks New Chapter in Student Leadership

On 18 May 2026, the Council Initiation Ceremony (CIC) for the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) 2025/2026 was held at the MMU Cinema, marking the formal introduction of the newly elected council members as well as a gesture of appreciation to the outgoing SRC leadership.

The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU together with other university leaders. In his speech, MMU President emphasised that student leaders play an important role in shaping campus life through meaningful engagement, stronger student participation, and the promotion of unity and inclusiveness within the university community. He also highlighted that leadership is grounded in service, humility, and teamwork, and encouraged SRC members to remain approachable, listen actively, and work collaboratively in supporting student needs and initiatives.

He further reminded student leaders that they are supported by the university management, staff, lecturers, and advisors throughout their journey. The ceremony also witnessed the appreciation to the former SRC leadership as well as the club and society representatives.
