The Faculty of Business (FOB) welcomed back its alumna, Dr. Goh Hui Lee, for an Inspirational Sharing Session held on 5 May 2026 at the Melaka campus.
Returning to her alma mater, Dr. Goh shared her journey of building multiple businesses from the ground up, offering students a first-hand perspective on the realities of entrepreneurship. Her sharing highlighted the importance of strategic thinking, resilience, and a strong marketing mindset in navigating the business landscape.
She also emphasised the value of starting with limited resources and growing opportunities through careful planning, adaptability, and market awareness. Her real-world experiences effectively bridged academic concepts with practical application, helping students better understand how entrepreneurship and marketing principles are applied in practice.
The session saw active engagement from students, who explored topics such as branding, business development, and entrepreneurial challenges. Many participants found the session particularly impactful as it featured a successful MMU alumna sharing her professional journey.
Facilitated by Mr Tai Hen Toong, Dr Yeow Jian Ai & Mr Vincent Chan, the session aimed to strengthen the integration between academic learning and industry experience. Dr. Goh’s return to MMU also served as a meaningful reminder of the diverse career pathways available to graduates.
FOB extends its appreciation to the Centre for Alumni & Career Connect for their support in making the session a success. Overall, the session reinforced the value of alumni engagement in enriching student learning and inspiring future-ready graduates.
