A team from the Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI), YOUTHWELLNESS INTELLINEXUS (YWIX), comprising Law Li Ting, Tee Jing Tong, and Lim June Yi, secured second place at the ICYOUTH 2026 Hackathon Challenge held on 6 May 2026 in Putrajaya.

Mentored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tan Saw Chin, the  team was recognised for their innovative solution and strong technical execution, earning cash prize, a plaque and certificates in recognition of their achievement.

Organised by Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in conjunction with the 5th International Conference on Youth 2026, the hackathon carried the theme “AI and Youth for Societal Impact: Transforming Communities & Advancing Wellbeing.”

The competition brought together young innovators to explore how artificial intelligence can be leveraged to address societal challenges and improve community wellbeing. This achievement reflects the team’s creativity, teamwork, and ability to turn ideas into a practical solution that responds to real-world needs.
