Alumni Reconnect at MMU Family Festive Gathering in Penang

MMU alumni from the Northern Region came together for a special Alumni Reconnect session as part of the MMU Family Festive Gathering held in Penang on 9 February 2026. The event, jointly organised by Yayasan Universiti Multimedia (YUM) and the Centre for Alumni (CfA), provided a meaningful platform for alumni to reconnect with their alma mater and with one another.

Adding significance to the occasion was the presence of Tun Dato’ Seri Zaki Tun Azmi, Chancellor of MMU and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of YUM, who warmly welcomed the Permata Dunia in attendance and shared updates on the university’s latest developments. The event was also graced by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, alongside YB Tuan Zairil Khir Johari, Penang State EXCO (Infrastructure, Transport & Digital), YB Joseph Ng Soon Siang, Air Itam State Assemblyman, Dato Seri Wong Siew Hai and Dato’ Mohd Khalis Abdul Rahim, YUM Board of Trustees Members, university management leaders and other distinguished guests.

The gathering brought together alumni from various graduating cohorts, creating an engaging environment for sharing experiences, exchanging insights, and strengthening connections with both the university and fellow graduates. The session also provided opportunities to explore collaborations, mentorship initiatives, and meaningful ways for alumni to contribute to the development of current MMU students.
