As part of its commitment to expanding global partnerships, MMU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Student Exchange Agreement (SEA) with several international institutions. On 26 September 2025, MMU formalised the agreements with the University of Seoul in Kuala Lumpur, signed by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, and Prof. Dr. Minchan Pyo, Vice President for International Affairs of the University of Seoul.
This initiative, led by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, brought together 20 Malaysian universities and three Korean institutions — the University of Seoul, Sejong University, and Kwangwoon University. Through this partnership, MMU students and staff will have greater access to student mobility programmes, joint research, academic collaborations, and cultural exchange, further expanding MMU’s international footprint.
Building on this momentum, on 30 September 2025, MMU formalised another MoU and SEA with K.S.R. College of Engineering (KSRCE), India, through a virtual ceremony hosted from the MMU Melaka campus. The signing was attended by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham together with Dr. M. Venkatesan, Dean of KSRCE, and Dr. P. Meenakshi Devi, Principal of KSRCE. This collaboration aims to strengthen student and staff exchanges, joint research, and academic initiatives, particularly in engineering and emerging areas such as Artificial Intelligence.
Continuing this series of international engagements, on 2 October 2025, MMU expanded its collaboration with another Indian institution, Mahendra Engineering College. The signing ceremony, held at the Cyberjaya campus, was officiated by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham and Prof. Dr. Andrews Samraj, Dean of R&D at Mahendra Engineering College. This partnership will pave the way for joint research, academic development, and student mobility programmes, further reinforcing MMU’s commitment to building global networks and advancing academic excellence.
